6 January – 30 January 2023
Aberdeen, Central Library
Between 6 and 30 January 2023, the “Passports for Life” exhibition devoted to the Ładoś Group was on view at the Aberdeen Central Library. Display of the exhibition at the Central Library of Aberdeen – Scotland’s third largest city – was organized in cooperation with the Polish Association Aberdeen. The exhibition accompanied the Aberdeen City Council’s commemoration of the International Holocaust Remembrance Day.
On 9 January at 6 p.m., Monika Maniewska (co-author of “The Ładoś List”) and Roger Moorhouse (British historian, author of “The Forgers” – a book devoted to the Ładoś Group which premiered in the autumn of 2023) discussed the activities of the Ładoś Group at the Aberdeen Central Library. The debate was attended by, among others, Dr. Łukasz Lutostański, Consul General of the Republic of Poland in Edinburgh; Dr. David Cameron, Lord Provost of Aberdeen; Prof. Roger Frost from the University of Aberdeen, historian of the Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth.
