Exhibitions,

On a historical hill

26 April - 30 June, 2022
Vienna – St. Joseph’s Church on the Kahlenberg

The Kahlenberg is a scenic hill in the northern suburbs of Vienna. On 12 September 1683, during the Battle of Vienna, King John III Sobieski commanded the troops of the Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth from atop the said hill. It is now a tourist attraction famous for its rich history and panoramic views over Austria’s capital city. From 26 April to 30 June 2022, in the St. Joseph’s Church on the Kahlenberg, which is administered by Polish priests, the Pilecki Institute displayed its exhibition devoted to the Ładoś Group. It was the first presentation of the “Passports for Life” exhibition in German-speaking countries.
