Surname, Name
The spelling of names follows “Spis imion żydowskich” [The list of Jewish first names] (Warszawa 1928), as it was the only means to avoid the doubling of people on the list. Exception was made for famous individuals whose names are widely known in another form than that proposed in “Spis”.

Fink, Dawid (1916–?) – a tailor

Born on 20 November 1916 in the Polish city of Częstochowa (then lying within the Austro-Hungarian Empire) as the son of Vałer Moszek Fink and Zysla Gitla née Bredin. He lived at 12 Berka Joselewicza Street.

During the occupation, on 19 July 1943, he was sent to Auschwitz concentration camp, receiving prisoner number 130335. Later, on 15 February 1945, he was moved to Buchenwald, becoming prisoner number 127851. He was last seen on 26 February 1945, and his further fate is unknown.
